Did You Know?
Everyone in your household benefits from everyone’s relationship at Desert Financial. A “household” includes all Desert Financial members who reside at your address. It’s our way of expanding benefits to include your entire family. This means you can combine points! For example, if you have another person in your household and they have one Relationship Rewards point for Borrowing (a loan), and you have one point for Saving, together you have two Relationship Rewards points. But a household can only earn one point in each category (Borrowing, Saving, Transacting and Loyalty), so if you have a loan with us and someone else in your household also has a loan with us, your household will get only one point for Borrowing.
How to use the Member Giveback Bonus Simulator
Before using the simulator, check out these examples of what to include. (Only include the balances on accounts for which you are the primary owner.)
- Average Balance: the total balance of your checking, savings, IRA and Money Market accounts.
- Mortgage Balance: the average for the full year (only include mortgages from us that you’re the primary account holder on).
- Loan Balance: the total balance of your auto, home equity line of credit (HELOC), personal line of credit (PLOC) and Signature Loans. Credit cards not included.
- Total Number of Annual Debit Card Transactions: estimate how many times you use your debit card in a month and multiply that by 12. On average, our members have 240 debit card transactions a year.

Payout range is based on historical data and is meant to provide an assumption; it is not a guarantee of the exact payout amount you may receive. Members are paid out for their average, mortgage and loan balances, as well as their debit card activity. Payout ranges can change every year based on credit union performance.

Average balance is the average balance for all products the primary member has, not just investments. This includes savings, checking, certificates, money market accounts, IRAs, etc. The average will encompass data from the full 12 months of the calendar year, even if the member’s account has been open for six months of the year; in this instance, the average balance will be $0 for six months and for the other six months, the average balance will be the average of the accounts when they were open.
9
Mortgage balance is the average for the full year and includes only mortgages on which the member is primary account holder.
10
Loan balance includes all consumer loans on which the member is primary account holder, including auto loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), personal lines of credit (PLOCs), signature loans, etc. Loan balances do not include credit cards.
